Thinking about Standardized Tests?

by admin on December 16, 2009

Pretty soon the seasonal testing will begin. You may want to consider beating the crowds by administering the tests to your children early. Many families believe that they should test their children at the last possible moment in order to “cram in” as much learning as possible.  Actually, the scoring standards apply to the time of year your child is tested. For example, if your child tests in January, the test is scored based on what the child has learned until January of the school year as opposed to June of the school year. There is no disadvantage to testing early, so you may get it “over with”, if you desire.
FACE offers tests to home schoolers year round. For more information on ordering the IOWA or CAT 6/Terra Nova, please click on the link below. For those of you who need results quickly; there is an option for Expedited Results. You will receive your student’s results within 48 hours of receipt of completed tests.
