My name is Sheilah DeVore-Gieseman and I teach The Story of Movies class,
www.storyofmovies.org . My family joined FACE six years ago and this is my
second year to teach.
The Story of Movies sounded fun to me because I LOVE movies, especially from
the 1930’s and 40’s with a special fondness for those great sci-fi movies of
the 1970’s. In addition to entertainment, movies are a good vehicle to
understand society’s thoughts and concerns through the decades. My family
shares this love of movies and the discussions that follow a really good (or
bad) one!
My family is my husband, Tim and my children, Owen and Evan and we have to
include our very large black dog. We are not exactly sure what breed he is,
but he does enjoy Call of the Wild.
