SNACK COORDINATOR

YANKEE CANDLE FUNDRAISER COORDINATOR
We would like to offer a Yankee Candle fundraiser again this year.  The coordinator would collect all of the money on the last day of the fundraiser from each family and verify the orders against the money; put the order forms together for mailing to Yankee; and distribute the orders when they arrive.  If you are interested in helping with this fundraiser, please contact Cindy at cindy@facschool.org. 
 

 NURSERY VOLUNTEER
If you have even one open hour on Tuesdays that you could give to volunteer in our nursery, we would love to hear from you!!  Our littlest ones need some TLC, while moms teach or volunteer and older siblings are in classes!

FACE is a private school for homeschoolers, eliminating the need to submit a “Letter of Intent to Homeschool” to your local school district.  We require our families to submit monthly attendance and have their students tested during grades 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11.  All other FACE offered events, classes, field trips, etc… are optional!
 
While families can school all year if they’d like, FACE kicks off each year with an Open House held in July (this year it is July 18).  At the Open House, families can enroll in the school and preregister for our weekly classes that will begin in September.  The Fall class line-up can be found above.  Classes range from $17 to $25 per month (the higher priced classes are for high school credit classes).  Classes begin in September and run through April, with a month-to-month sign-up.  Month-to-month sign-up allows students to change classes at the end of a month, if they’re not happy with one that they’ve chosen.
 
The classes under the “curriculum” tab, are Alpha Omega curriculum purchases that you can make, at a discount.  While we offer Alpha Omega curriculum at a discount, our families are free to make their own curriculum choices.
 
Our annual school enrollment fee is $175 for the entire family.  Classes, events and field trips are extra, but we try to keep costs down as much as possible for everything we offer!

KIDS RUNNING AMERICA
“Empowering school aged children with the means to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle”
 
This is a running program designed for kids to complete a 26.2 mile marathon distance over a given timeframe, finishing their final distance at a major local marathon. (Denver Marathon)  The mentors will set up times for running to be done as a team, and for the students to complete on their own. The cost is $30.00 which includes a race day T-shirt, certificate, finisher medal, and race day incentives. Race day is October 17, 2009.  Coordinator is Jen Carr
 
 
 
 
God’s World News Publications
 
God’s World News will provide news and interesting information for children – biblically, appropriately, and vibrantly – so they can grow in their understanding that God has the whole world in His hands. 
 
We can order as a school and provide a discount to our families based on the number of subscriptions ordered!  Publications are:  Early Edition (PreK-1st Grade); Taking Off (2nd and 3rd Grade); News Current (4th and 5th Grade); Top Story (6th thru 9th Grade); and World Magazine (10th thru Adult)
