Graduation is right around the corner!!

 If you have a student that is planning to graduate from FACE this year, whether or not you plan to participate in the ceremony, it is important that you contact Julie at julie@faceschool.org or 303-774-1800 by Friday, February 19th.

 A special breakfast in honor of the graduates and their parents will be held on March 13th.

The graduation ceremony will be on May 29th.

First Semester Report Cards for this year are due no later than Tuesday, January 26th, for those students wishing to be considered for Honor Roll and/or Honor Society. 

Honor Society is for high school students, however, the school Honor roll is open to all grade levels! 

Report cards forms are available in a couple of different formats on the school website under “Members”.  They can be printed off and brought to Tuesday classes, emailed to Cindy at cindy@faceschool.org  or mailed to the school address at 6704 W. 98th Cr./WestminsterCO 80021.  Please contact Cindy with any questions!

Honor Roll Requirements                                                                                                                                                                  Students must have a grade point average of at least 3.0, with no semester grade below a C, and no more than one C per semester.  There are three Honor Roll levels:

GOLD – 4.0 grade point average
SILVER – 3.5 to 3.9 grade point average
BRONZE – 3.0 to 3.4 grade point average

Calling all interested yearbook staff
High school students that would like to serve on yearbook please email Amy Craddock by Jan 19 at craddockclan@comcast.net with a short statement of why you would like to work on the yearbook and what talents you would like to share.  8th grade students will be accepted in a training position with special permission. We will meet approximately once a month until April and May, then twice a month.  The first working meeting will be the first part of February at the Craddock home.  Contact Amy Craddock with any questions.

If your student has a “Study Hall” or “Free” hour during the day, they MUST stay in Fellowship Hall during that time. 

Students are NOT allowed to roam the  building or grounds of the church without an adult. 

Students who do not stay in Fellowship Hall will be required to sign up for a class instead of having

a “Study Hall” or “Free” hour.

College Application Week

Colorado’s occupational/technical, two-year and four-year post-secondary schools will offer waived application fees* during the week of November 1 — November 8, 2009. Follow the links below for more information. (*Some schools are waiving application fees for economic hardship or students who qualify for free or reduced lunch only. Please read the waiver language regarding eligibility carefully.)

To help you prepare your college applications, join the Great Campus Chase. Take virtual tours for each school and look for the little Taco Bell beside different school names each day. Take that school’s virtual tour to download your coupon for a free Frutista Freeze from Taco Bell.

Win $500 for college! If you submit an application to any of the participating College Application Week schools, you are eligible for a random drawing to win $500 for college. Are you ready to fill out your college application? Some are very detailed and will require gathering information before you do your applications. The web site has worksheets for both 2 year and 4 year institutions to make sure you have all the pieces you need. .

Sylvan Learning Center is offering a free workshop on writing the perfect college essay at all of their Denver Metro locations. The workshop will be held on October 28th, at 7p.m. CLICK HERE to register or for more information.

It’s time to put a smile one! It’s time for individual school pictures!

There are a variety of packages and prices, as well as, student and teacher IDs!

Our professional photographer will be available from 8:30am to Noon at Northglenn Christian Church!

SINGLE MOM LUNCH – NOON

All single moms are invited to have lunch together and study single women of the bible and fellowship.

Bring your lunch and join us in room 108! Kids are welcome!

HIGH SCHOOL MEETING – 12:15pm
There will be a high school meeting in the Chapel of Northglenn Christian Church (105th and Irma).
We will cover Lettering and Honor Society, and answer questions about high school and college.
This meeting is MANDATORY for any students interested in Honor Society!!

PSAT
There are only a few slots left for the PSAT!!
All Juniors should seriously consider taking this test. Freshman and Sophomores are welcome to take it!
The test will be on Saturday, October 17. Cost is $25.
